Typeface created for typesetting text in English-translated Japanese comics (manga). Komikku comes in 4 weights: regular, italic, semi-bold and bold.

The goal was to create a typeface that retained some characteristics of being hand-drawn while not mimicking the "handwritten" fonts currently used to typeset translated manga, as most manga are originally set in fairly generic, clean fonts.

Typeface designed under the supervision of Cyrus Highsmith. Artwork from Ohba Tsugumi & Obata Takeshi's series Bakuman.
